Elaine brings over 15 years of experience in pharmacy benefit management. The breadth of her involvement has encompassed many lines of business: Part D (including B vs. D considerations), health plans, Health Insurance Marketplace plans, commercial employer groups (both fully insured and self funded), TPA, coalitions, 340B, and worker's comp.

Her depth of knowledge includes leadership of teams totaling 200+ employees in areas such as: implementation, benefit design building and maintenance, RFP responses Part D compliance and operational processing, data file exchange, enrollment management, ID cards, call center coordination, audits (internal and external, pre- and post-implementations, commercial and Part D), mail/home delivery, specialty and clinical expertise. She has also performed as an independent consultant on PBM management.

Her clinical program involvement has included formulary design, build and maintenance, P&T Committee participation, industry relations decision making, clinical program design and implementation, member and physician outreach, MTM program management, specialty, adherence programs, dose optimization, RDUR and DUE, UM and step therapy.

Elaine's ability to connect executive level goals, clinical rationale, operational realities and cost optimization make her a valuable asset to any pharmacy healthcare payer. She has an analytical mind and listens closely to deliver solutions tailored to your needs.

Her expertise comes from 12 years with Walgreens Health Initiatives, and 3 years with Catamaran (formerly SXC Health Solutions) in a variety of clinical, operational and leadership roles. She earned both an MBA and PharmD at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.
